John Walker
Alternate Councilor (2024-2026)
He is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Physiology in the School of Medicine at Saint Louis University.
He is a medicinal chemist with over 20 years of drug discovery research experience. He started in large pharma, working at Pfizer and legacy companies Pharmacia and Monsanto. In 2014 he moved to academia at Saint Louis University, where he continues to do drug discovery research, as well as teacing courses in molecular pharmacology and pharmacokinetics to medical students and graduate students.
He received his Ph.D. in 1999 in synthetic organic chemistry from Indiana University, under the direction of Professor Paul A. Grieco.
