Cynthia is a founder, social entrepreneur and innovative scientist. All of the work she does is about liberation on her own terms.

Cynthia is the founder of Black Girls Do STEM. In March, 2019, it became a 501(c)(3) incorporated non-for-profit organization, offering a full pilot STEM program for 6th-9th grade Black girls and support services for 10th-12th graders. Black Girls Do STEM utilizes STEM career exploration to curate culturally safe, expansive and resilient spaces for Black girls to learn and heal while decolonizing STEM. Black Girls Do STEM doesn’t simply teach or even expose Black girls to STEM, but transforms what Black girls think, see and believe of themselves, their communities, their schools, and their capacity to be innovators and world changers by triggering the power of curiosity.

In keeping with this work of curiosity and innovation, Cynthia also is CEO of CC Black Lab, a research consulting and manufacturing company working in the cosmetics, personal care, and beauty space.
