Dr Donna Friedman is Professor and Chair of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at St Louis Community College–Florissant Valley. She serves as a Councilor of the St Louis Section and is a member of the ACS Council Committee on Constitution and Bylaws. She is the Business Manager of the Chemical Bond and Chair of the Section’s Audit Committee. She was the 2003 recipient of the St Louis Section Distinguished Service Award in recognition of continuous service to the Section, including serving as Section Chair in 1992.
Dr Friedman has been actively involved in technician education for over 30 years and is a founding member of the former ACS Division of Chemical Technicians, for which she served as Education Committee Chair, Bylaw Committee Chair, and Treasurer. She has been a member of the ACS Committee on Technician Affairs, from which she received the Distinguished Service Award in 2010, and the Chemical Technology Program Approval Service.
In 2012 Dr Friedman had the distinction of becoming an ACS Fellow.
