We have been notified that the Saint Louis Section is a finalist in four categories of ChemLuminary Awards for our 2020 activities under then-Chair Sophia Hayes:
- Best Activity or Program Stimulating Member Involvement
- Outstanding Local Section Career Program Award
- Outstanding Performance Awards, Medium Large Size Category
- Outstanding Local Section Younger Chemists Committee
If you would like to attend the awards ceremony, you can do so virtually during National Chemistry Week (October 17–23, 2021). The event is on Thursday, October 21 at 4 pm ET (3 pm CT). It will include a keynote address by Mary K Engelman, recipient of the 2021 Award for Volunteer Service to the American Chemical Society, followed by presentation of awards given by 18 committees of the Society. Registration is free; registrants will receive an access code to enter the event.
