(The editors do not believe in farewells, especially with someone so involved in ACS as Natalie)
Dear STL ACS Section Members-
As I prepare for a departure to Boston due to an exciting professional opportunity, I wanted to take a moment to say goodbye and more importantly, thank you. Becoming an active member and leader in the St. Louis Section is without a doubt one of the best decisions I have made in my personal and professional life. Starting with the Younger Chemists Committee (YCC), where I met a group of passionate, young chemists, I knew the ACS was a place for me to grow and learn. Since then, I’ve had the chance to meet many friends, colleagues, and mentors, who have challenged me, supported me, and empowered me to become a better person, a more impactful volunteer, and hopefully, a more thoughtful leader. The St. Louis Section has such a deep and impressive history of success, and it’s been my pleasure to contribute to that during my time here. I look forward to hearing how the Section evolves in the future. Thank for being a part of my journey – please keep in touch!
