Dr Hergenrother’s research focuses on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of organic molecules with novel biological properties including enzyme inhibitors and activators; novel anticancer and antibacterial compounds; chemical biology and synthetic organic chemistry. He will give two lectures on successive days meta-targeting (1) novel antibiotics for treatment of drug-resistant bacterial infections and (2) new targets for personalized anti-cancer drugs.
