Catalyze the reaction between scouts and chemistry

The Saint Louis Section is participating in two outreach events, one to Boy Scouts and one to Cub Scouts, both on October 14th. (I know, “poor planning”, right?)

The Chemistry Merit Badge Clinic, for Boy Scouts ages 12-17, will take place at Jost Chemical from 8 am to 2 pm. We need a few volunteers to help with activities. If you are a certified chemistry merit badge counselor, so much the better. But don’t hold back if you aren’t. On the other side of the coin, if you have scouts who want to attend, they can register here.

At Cub Scout Fright Fest, we will be making slime (outside at Beaumont Reservation) with 1,000 Cub Scouts (ages 7-11) and siblings between 3:30 and 9:30pm.
