Whether you’re a research director or an interested scientist, the Undergraduate Research Symposium is a cool event. Undergrads from area colleges and universities make what is probably their first public presentation of their research project. The posters are judged, and awards are given for outstanding presentations.
If you have undergrads working in your lab, don’t let them miss this opportunity to share their discoveries with other young researchers and with scientists in our community. Being able to present their work is one of the most important parts of doing science: a skill that we need to develop and practice throughout our careers.
If you’re an interested scientist, you are also welcome to attend, view the posters, and talk with the students about their work.
