Earth Day is April 20th, and tradition has it that chemists celebrate by bringing their science to the public. At the Science Center. Between 10am and 4pm.
Here are two opportunities for you to make it happen. Volunteers needed to staff tables at these activities:
- Kids and Chemistry is seeking volunteers for chemistry outreach fun. No experience necessary: tables will be set up and each will have a leader for instruction. Contact Sheryl Loux at sjloux@gmail.com to volunteer; a commitment of at least 2 hours would be appreciated. Parking will be free to volunteers and entrance is always free.
- Greg Wall is also looking for volunteers for other activities around the theme: Rethink Recycling: It’s Easy to be Green. Contact him at gwall37@msn.com.
